Adult Christian Education

Fall Quarter 2016 Adult Education Classes

Grace Through the Eyes of Jesus
Taught by Dan Burns & Jeff Asmann
We will explore grace through the lens of Jesus’ interactions and teaching in the Gospel of Luke.  Together, we will learn Jesus’ teaching on grace and see how he treats people with grace!  This class will examine the human heart through the lens of Biblical grace, holiness, and repentance.
Taught by Don Fisher
As we finish our study of the Gospel writings of Mark, Luke, and John, we’ll move into the book of Acts.  Notably, the relationship of Luke’s Gospel and Acts, and how this book chronicles the further work of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit’s work in and through the church.  Following Jesus words, we will study the proclamation of the gospel from Jerusalem and Judea into the kingdoms of the world.  Jesus told His disciples repeatedly of the resistance they would encounter as they told of Him as the fulfillment of prophecy, God with us (Immanuel), the Savior of men.  Acts records numerous examples of how Jesus’ words cam to pass in the lives of His disciples and followers as the Gospel was spread and the church was established among the nations.
